Early life
Vishwas was born on 10 February 1970 in a lower middle-class family in the town of pilkhuwa in Ghaziabad of UP, where he studied at Lala Ganga Sahab school.
His father, Chandrapal Sharma, was a lecturer at R.S.S degree College in pilkhuwa and his mother, Rama Sharma, was a homemaker.
Education
He completed his 12th degree and then joined Motilal Nehru regional engineering College.
However, engineering did not interest Vishwas and he left to study Hindi literature, which he later earned PHD.
It was while studying for his PHD that Biswas changed his name from Vishwas Kumar Sharma to Kumar Vishwas, to keep an identity separate from his caste.
Career
In 1994, he served as a lecturer in Rajasthan then taught Hindi literature at Lala Lajpat Rai College.
In 2012, he joined the newly formed AAp party as a volunteer worker.
Politics
Vishwas knew Arvind Kejriwal since 2005 and joined the India against corruption movement led by Anna Hazare.
He was also a founding member of AAP.
Vishwas contested the 2014 Lok Sabha election as an AAP candidate form Amethi but lost to then incumbent Rahul Gandhi.
